Review of Khet on YouTube

Have you ever wondered what playing Khet can be like?

This is a brilliantly funny episode of slapstick and special effects that will have you reeling in your seat by your computer. It is a mixture of the Matrix meets the Keystone Cops but with a touch of Hollywood with the lasers burning the pieces up; yes even the mirrors burn baby burn! You have the haunting music behind the scenes that will stay with you for ages after but is up beat at the same time. You get to see the classic "pie in face" routine as well as drinks being cast and an egg with great timing. Then the scene is set to go Picasso with mad torching and throwing burning game boards at each other. A very surreal film with abstract art thrown in for good measure but ending in a horror story way, revealing that it will start all over again at the next playing.

It is hoped that the Eye Of Horus will be in the UK for sale for Khet 2.0 some time by the end of the year to compliment the already popular game and making the game even harder to play (or challenging depending on your point of view). So far it has not been released in the USA yet but I am sure that as soon as it is on for sale, I will let you know.

Khet 2.0 Review

Well, if you think you enjoyed the old Khet, then just wait for the new improved Khet 2.0. It is better looking and better than the old version. The carry case makes it travel a lot better and I love the new look. You no longer have the Obelisks but have Anubis instead (this means that if you hit him from the front, nothing happens but if you hit him in the back or at the sides you take him of the board), the Djed's are replaced by the Beetles but it does the same job but the new improvement is the Sphinx that has a laser that you fire in either two directions Horizontal or the old Vertical fire which makes it more interesting to play the game. I can't wait to get the Eye Of Horus on the board too to make it even more exiting. Other than that, it is the same rules as old Khet.

The New Khet 2.0 Eye Of Horus

Well, you have been patiently waiting for some time now from when the New Khet 2.0 came on the shop floor about the beamsplitter and when it was going to the shops. Well if you live in the UK, it will be out about summer time 2012 (maybe in time for the Olympics), so the waiting is nearly over. It will make it more interesting playing the New board with the Sphinx being able to move in two directions adds an extra dimention. It was brilliant in the old type of board and it does have a good write up in the USA.

I hope to be able to add some new set ups with the Eye Of Horus and add to the website as soon as I get hold of one, to give you even more of a challenge.
