Khet UK Tournament

Do you love playing Khet?  Do you live in the United Kingdom?

We are a group of people who love playing Khet and want to meet fellow, like-minded people, up and down the UK to play each other.

In 2008, We orgainised aUSA style tournament championship at Hemel Hempstead with a grand opening with the deputy Mayor.  The following year it was organised in Barnet as the Southern Region Championship. This year we need to find a venue around Britain and would love to hear from you.

Send us an e-mail to khetplayersuk@yahoo.com stating in the subject line "Khet Venue 2012" and where you would like the venue to be.The dates for meeting will be either July or August 2012, so let us know the best dates for you and we will go with the majority. In order to play in the meeting or chamionship you must live in the UK, although there are no prizes at the moment.  We hope to meet up at least twice a year in August or July and at a another date maybe December or January. If you want to meet up and play in 2011, drop me a line and I will see if we can muster up a group to play this year.

We are not professionals doing this, we are also volunteering to do the championship and website in our spare time,  making it as professional as possible within our budget.

Khet On The Gadget Show

The old style Khet game was on the gadget show's top 5 Gadget games and got to number 2 and had a great write up with Suzie Perry (although she lost the game) and loved playing the game.  Khet has also been on the Gadget show a few times before but not mentioned. The review explained the game and how to play it and  a basic strategy; maybe they will mention the new Khet 2.0 soon.

Talk Khet!

Are you a beginner or do you have more experience?  Do you start with the Classic, Imhotep or Dynasty?  Do you have a starting configuration that you would like to share with others?  Would you like to test out your latest idea for a starting configuration that others can comment on?  Do you use the Eye of Horus Beam Splitter?  Do you know of a Khet forum ?

We would like to play other countries Khet champions as well so that a Khet World Champion can be formed.  It would be great to play Khet Internationals or just meet up to play Khet from people from other countries on a friendly manner, let us know what you think.

For Starting Configurations follow the link to see the ones I have designed. They range from Easy to Medium and Hard with a little description on each one.

If you live in any region of the UK and would like to hold your own Area Championship, let us know to put the details on the website and maybe the area champions can play each other as well.
